Ashura is going to be held on the 10th of Muharram on 18th August.  This is a very important and sad day for the entire Muslim nation.  As Ashura is a very important and dignified day, we worship it on this day to gain nearness to Allah.

Muslims around the world have expressed great interest in knowing when to offer prayers on Ashura. Asr Prayer Time We have already stated that the daytime night before the tenth Muharram is the night of Holy Ashura. That is, you can perform 4 rak’ats of nafl prayers at any time on that night or on that day.
The importance of these supererogatory prayers is mentioned in the infinite Holy Qur’an that if a person performs Ashura prayers, his sins of 50 years will be forgiven.
